Crystal-clear headlight after professional restoration
Headlight Restoration · Granbury, TX

See better. Look newer.

Cloudy, yellowed headlights wet-sanded, polished and UV-sealed back to clarity — a safety upgrade that also takes years off the front of your car.

Why it matters

It's a safety issue, not just looks.

Headlight lenses are polycarbonate with a factory UV coating. Texas sun breaks that coating down, and the plastic underneath oxidizes — turning yellow, then cloudy. A badly oxidized lens can cut usable light output dramatically, which matters most on unlit county roads at night.

Restoration removes the failed layer and seals the lens again. Clear light, and a front end that suddenly looks a decade newer.

The process

Done properly.

From $125 per pair. Most vehicles take about an hour.

Multi-stage wet sanding

Progressive grits remove the oxidized, yellowed layer completely rather than just buffing the surface.

Machine polish

Polished back to optical clarity, not a hazy half-fix.

UV sealant

A fresh protective layer so it doesn't yellow again in a few months — the step cheap kits skip.

Common Questions

Good to know.

How long does headlight restoration last?

With the UV sealant applied, typically several years. Kits that skip sealing usually fog back up within months.

Is it cheaper than new headlights?

Dramatically. Replacement housings often run several hundred dollars each plus installation. Restoration starts at $125 for the pair.

Can every headlight be restored?

Surface oxidation — the common case — restores beautifully. Lenses that are cracked, or hazed on the inside from a failed seal, need replacement. Shelby will tell you which you have.

Do you come to me?

Yes, it's a mobile service like everything else. About an hour in your driveway.

Driving on dim?
