From an ambulance to your driveway.
It started in 2020. Shelby was washing an ambulance during a shift as an EMT when he looked up and spotted a detailer's van — and got curious. A million YouTube videos later, he reached out to every detailer he could find and landed an apprenticeship under an excellent one who showed him the ropes. Not long after, Shelby's Detailing was born.
In 2022 he completed an Advanced Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating training with Shine Supply (Stevens Detailing) in Ventura, CA — wet sanding, rotary and DA polishing, paint-thickness estimating, and proper ceramic application — sharpening the craft that sets his work apart.
What he loves is the result you can see with your own eyes: the relief on someone's face when their vehicle looks and feels new again, and the protection that keeps it that way. This is a family business — integrity and excellence as an example to his kids — so there's more at stake here than vehicles. The detailing world is full of poor communication and high-pressure upsells; we do the opposite. We recommend the service that truly fits, build a trusted relationship, and treat your vehicle as an ongoing maintenance program, not a one-and-done.
