What the work involves
Our headlight restoration in Granbury service takes cloudy, yellowed headlights and wet-sands them, polishes them, then UV-seals them. Replying to a Google review, we once described the job as sanding the headlights down and topping them with a 4-year ceramic coating.
On paint, Shelby machine polishes before any coating goes on, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it. That headlight reply has the same order, with the sanding first and the ceramic coating last.

Who does the sanding and polishing
Shelby went through Shine Supply's Advanced Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating training in Ventura, CA, in 2022. That course had him wet sanding, and it also covered rotary and DA polishing. He started Shelby's Detailing in 2020 after working as an EMT and apprenticing under an established detailer, and it's a family business.
Travel and setup
For mobile detailing in Granbury and beyond, Shelby brings his own water and power, so all he needs is safe access to the vehicle, whether it's parked at a house or an office. Anywhere in Hood County, there's no travel fee. Beyond the county line, a 15-25 mile trip carries a $25 travel charge and a 25-40 mile trip carries $50. Anything past 40 miles gets its own quote.
Adding headlights to a bigger detail

Small vehicles are $180, mid-size ones are $193 and large ones are $204, and the detail takes about 4 hours.
