Paint correction at Shelby's Detailing starts at $399. That is the Paint Enhancement Detail: the Essential Detail's complete wash and interior reset, plus full decontamination and a gloss-restoring polish. It costs $399 for a small vehicle, $424 for a mid-size and $450 for a large one, and it takes about 6 hours. If you want the paint corrected and then protected for years, the correction-plus-coating packages are priced by vehicle type:
- One-step correction plus a 3-year coating: $1,300-1,600 for a sedan, $1,500-1,900 for an SUV, $1,700-2,100 for a truck.
- Two-step correction plus a 7-year coating: from $2,000 on sedans, $2,500 on SUVs and $3,000 on trucks.
Either package runs about 2-4 days.

What you are paying for
Before any machine polishing, Shelby takes paint-thickness readings so the correction stays inside the clear coat. The car then gets a hand wash, iron fallout removal and a clay bar before the rotary and dual-action polishing, where the pad and compound are matched to how hard the paint is. In 2022 he completed Shine Supply's Advanced Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating training (Stevens Detailing) in Ventura, CA, which covered wet sanding, rotary and DA polishing and paint-thickness estimating.
The readings also sort out what is worth paying to fix: a scratch that catches your fingernail has usually cut through the clear coat, so polishing can't safely remove it, and Shelby says before the job which marks will come out and which won't.
If you book the $399 polish and want protection on top of it, a 1-year paint coating is $250 when added to a Paint Enhancement Detail. The 3-year coating in the one-step package is rated for three years with normal maintenance, and its real life comes down to how the vehicle gets washed and where it's stored. A coating has to cure under controlled conditions, so for mobile coating jobs Shelby confirms the setup and the weather window at booking.
A repaint quote versus a detail
In 2022, one customer had a 3-year-old truck covered in drive-through car wash swirls, baked-on bird droppings and a tar-like substance. A repair shop that had handled minor hail damage on it recommended repainting, and Shelby's Tier 2 Detail took care of the problems, the scratches included, instead. If a shop has told you the paint needs redoing, Shelby can measure it and say what will come out first.

Boats get their own version
On a boat, the polishing lives in the Gelcoat Enhancement at $28 per linear foot, which adds paint decontamination, an acid wash, a gelcoat polish and boat wax to the Wash & Wax. Lake Granbury leaves hard-water spots along the waterline and chalky oxidation on the gel coat that a normal wash won't touch, so Shelby compounds and polishes the gel coat and then seals it. Getting a price for your vehicle
One customer's quote held when the job ran long: a Jeep Wrangler that had never been garaged in 20 years was quoted at about 3 hours, Shelby spent almost 5, and the price stayed as quoted.
